Our October according to my phone. Began with a quick trip to Portland...
Best of Missouri market with Clementine. We bought a doughnut at World's Fair and arrived at 8 am -- already packed! We met friends there and they played in the incredible children's area.
Stop at the library. I read two books this month, The Year of Lear and Wild Things: The Joy of Reading Children's Literature as an Adult. Both were excellent and I can't recommend the latter enough.
Josie and her favorite, Octopus. Maybe a favorite because she's mostly a pillow?
KaleidoHope gala to benefit Gateway to Hope. Get your Breast Dance Party Ever tix here! It's going to be a great event for a great cause - please attend!
We closed on our house October 13th. The girls saw it for the first time that night and Clem asked, "why are there no fings in it?"
LaBonne Bouchee lunch.
Mod was working in St Louis and came over for a visit (and a check-up).
Luke was gone to Texas for 15 days. Clem would wander in our bedroom for a nightly battle of attrition about sleeping in her own bed.
Drawing unicorns.
I took a four day course in Charleston, kicked off with some chili and a prickly pear margarita at Love Field
and ended with a lobster roll on a warm, very buttered bun at 167 Raw before I left Charleston a few hours later.
Ghouls in the Garden. The girls did this event and trick or treated at school and that was the end of their Halloween (thank goodness). The night of Halloween they had their swim lessons and were the only kids in the pool.
Lunch at Grace Meat + Three after the botanical garden.
Early November... all moved in!
