Thanksgiving

We hosted Thanksgiving this year, with a little help from Beast BBQ!

I made a lemon meringue pie and Jena and Cody brought rhubarb and blueberry.

Ava spent the night - a sleepover the girls were so excited about - and Josie made a little nest for Ava:

Ava curled herself into the box but I didn't want her to sleep like that; I put her in bed next to Clementine but then Josie felt left out and moved herself over. I thought they would be up for hours but a few minutes later they were sound asleep:

Snow Day!

A couple of weeks ago snow flurries fell as I drove to the grocery store. When I exited the store thirty minutes later, heavy snow was falling. Arriving home, the girls and Luke were outside playing.

The night before we had seen a student ballet performance in which the dancers used a parasol prop and I think Clemmie was channeling that here ...
