My mom came to Texas for a long and long overdue visit, concluded by a Gillian Welch/David Rawlings concert at the Empire Theatre.  I have been a fan for a long time, and they were magnificent live.  Such incredible musicians.  Rolling Stone named their 2001 album Time (The Revelator) one of the top 100 albums of the 2000s.  You might recognize her work on the O Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack.
