The sisters converged on St Louis (Robin from Tacoma, Elise from Champaign) for a fun-filled weekend! We had not seen each other - and I not back to StL- since the day of our wedding just over six months ago.
The fun started at the Lazy K, Washington, Missouri:
For years we have (gently) teased Elise about the loving way she says her husband Brett's name... Breeeettttt.
Saturday morning: pedis for us, shellac mani for Mom at GoSpa.
Then four storefronts down to meet Chris, Erin, Mia and grandparents Tom and Aggie for brunch:
Off to Maplewood to see Jeff and Tracie and Betsy as they pack their house for Denver, where Jeff has taken a faculty position.
After a quick nap back in WashMO, we headed back into the city for makeup at Nordstrom (requested look: Kardashian), then to Tom and Amanda's for homecoming party!
Lovely Amanda, beautiful baby boy Everett. It was my machinations that brought Tom and Amanda together, so I suppose I am the third most important person in Everett's conception :)
Jenny suggested in lieu of resolutions that we adopt a Word of 2012.
Jenny: SELF-CONTROL.
Amy: KARDASHIAN (more makeup, more accessories, more dating of professional athletes)
Me: still thinking about it...
My mom sent my in-laws some pistachios over the holidays, and Pat enlisted some thank-you card contributions from the grandkids.
